Get ready to take charge of your learning—and your future—through College Now at CSI.

A Variety of Courses and Activities

The common thread uniting all CSI College Now options is a dedication to engaging, hands-on, real-life learning. The program offers all of the following:

• Discovery Institute Research Expo. Go beyond daily classroom work to truly get into what you're studying. Expo participants conduct research which they then demonstrate and discuss with instructors and other staff from the college—as well as with teachers, administrators, and media representatives. In doing so, they begin to discover and enjoy a different way of learning—all while becoming more skilled and capable scholars.
• Academic Olympics. Compete in this series of exams for all major subject areas: English, social studies, math, and science. Eligible schools can send up to 16 students.
• College courses. If you qualify, you can earn college credit while still in high school! Courses are offered at the College of Staten Island campus and are taught by college faculty.
• Also in the mix: science labs, college visits, performing arts events, Poetry Slam

Getting Started

1. Consult the list of CSI's partner schools. If your high school is on the list, make a note of its CSI College Now liaison. The liaison is the person you will need to contact to find out which courses and activities are open to you, deadlines for enrollment, etc.
2. If your high school is not officially partnered with CSI, you can contact CN staff at the college to inquire about your options. Campus contact information follows directly below.
