College Now @

Queens College

For motivated high school students who want to get an early start on college and a feel for the college experience, College Now at Queens College offers courses for college and high school credit at Queens College's beautiful hilltop campus.

Qualified high school juniors or seniors begin with a College Now section in subjects that range from philosophy to psychology, dance to political science, and a number of others. All classes meet on the Queens College campus and are taught by Queens College professors.

Students who have successfully completed one College Now section can take regular Queens College undergraduate classes along with Queens College students.

Taught by experienced high school teachers, Saturday classes in Math A, Math B, U.S. History and Government, and English Language Arts carry high school credit for participating students and meet on the Queens College campus. Students use campus resources such as computer labs and the library and go on field trips related to their classes.

Getting Started

  1. Consult the list of QC's partner schools. If your high school is on the list, make a note of its QC College Now liaison. The liaison is the person you'll need to contact to see exactly what courses and activities are open to you, deadlines for enrollment, etc.
  2. If your high school is not officially partnered with QC, you can contact CN staff who work at the college to inquire about your options. Campus contact information follows directly below.
